ONE MAN'S MISSION. THOUSANDS OF LIVES CHANGED

Mr. R. Dinesh Kumar (B.C.A., M.S.W., PGDC) founded Manitham Trust on 1st June 2012 with a single belief — that humans exist for one another. Starting with roadside elders and mentally ill individuals in Trichy, he built what is today a multi-programme organisation serving children, women, elders, and refugees across Tamil Nadu.

In 2014, he worked with Action Aid India on bonded labour and HIV-affected children's education in Chennai. By 2015, he led as Project Manager at Lebara Foundation, implementing the Sri Lankan refugee children development project in collaboration with the Government of Tamil Nadu's Rehabilitation and Social Welfare Department.

Today, Manitham directly supports 300+ children, has rescued and rehabilitated 500 wandering elders, provided 23,000+ roadside meals, and reduced school dropout rates among refugee children from 450 to 80 — all in 12 years of uninterrupted service.
